Below you will find everything you need to know about our tooth extractions services. Please feel free to contact our team with any additional concerns you may have.

Why Might I Need An Extraction?

You may be wondering what might cause you to need a tooth extractions. Maybe you are experiencing a situation right now that is causing you concern. We recommend seeking help if you are concerned about the health of your mouth. The typical reasons for an extraction are:

  • Periodontal (gum) disease
  • Infection
  • Crowding (orthodontic issues)
  • Dentures (make room for restoration)
  • Other problems (varies)

Talk to our team about why you might need an extraction. Many times, we will extract a tooth if the damage to it is beyond what our restorative dentistry services can fix. We also may extract a tooth if it is causing problems for your other teeth. However, whether you really need a tooth extraction or not depends entirely on your specific situation. We will be happy to examine your mouth to determine your needs. Please feel free to ask questions or voice your concerns if you have any.

Routine Extraction Procedures

The routine teeth extraction procedure is simple. We first numb the area using a local anesthetic. This allows you to stay comfortable throughout the procedure. For extra comfort and relaxation, we may recommend dental sedation. We then gently loosen the tooth. After it is loose in the socket, we carefully remove it from your mouth. Most extractions are really that easy!

Wisdom Teeth Removal Services

We also remove wisdom teeth right here in our office. If your wisdom teeth are crowding the other teeth in your mouth or are causing pain or any other problems, we can extract them. However, we do not handle impacted wisdom teeth. We can refer you to a specialist for that. Talk to our team about your wisdom teeth removal options!
