Dr. Jonathan C. Gilbart
In 2001, Dr. Jonathan and his wife, Dr. Lucy, opened their first private dental practice in Maryland. Since then, they have been offering outstanding dental care to families in Frederick and Hagerstown.
Dr. Jonathan loves working with patients throughout Maryland and enjoys the feeling of pride after helping a patient achieve their dental health goals.
Education
Most of Jonathan’s early years were spent in Northern Virginia - where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Virginia Tech. He then went on to become an American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)-certified medical technologist at Fairfax Hospital in Virginia.
After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry, Dr. Jonathan relocated to Frederick, MD, where he and his family have lived ever since.
Achievements
A lifelong learner, Dr. Jonathan has completed the Progressive Orthodontics Seminar series and numerous other continuing education courses, practicums, and seminars, but he has a special interest in placing and restoring dental implants. He is a member of the following:
Personal Life
Dr. Jonathan and Dr. Lucy have been married since 1996 and have two lovely daughters, Megan and Angela. The family also has two comical dogs - a gentle 15-pound male Shih Tzu and his 8-pound ferocious sister to keep him in line.
In his spare time, Dr. Jonathan enjoys pretty much any vehicle with a powerful motor, being outdoors, and playing the clarinet, but most of all, he loves spending time with his wonderful family.

Dr. Jared M Lawson
Dr. Jared Lawson graduated magna cum laude from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in Morgantown, WV and received his undergraduate degree in biomedical science from Marshall University in Huntington, WV. During his time at WVU, Dr. Lawson participated in volunteer outreach programs providing dental care for underserved populations and traveled to Guatemala where he gave fluoride treatments to children in rural villages. He also won his class research competition and presented his project at the American Dental Association conference in San Antonio.
Dr. Lawson is a member of the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, as well as the Academy of General Dentistry. He is dedicated to continuing education and staying current on the newest developments in the field of dentistry. Dr. Lawson most enjoys his interactions with his patients, where he strives to form personal connections and make visits as comfortable as possible. Outside of the office, Dr. Lawson enjoys hiking, traveling, cooking, collecting vinyl records, and playing guitar. He has two older sisters and seven nieces/nephews in his hometown of Teays Valley, WV. He currently resides in Frederick with his fiancée Em and dog Henry.
